Principal's Corner

Welcome to Evergreen School - “Home of the Eagles”

Dear Evergreen Families,

My name is Sarah Smith and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the principal of Evergreen Elementary School.  I have spent the last six years as an administrator at Salt Creek School District 48.  Prior to that I taught 3rd and 4th grade right here at Evergreen Elementary.  This is my 21st year in education, and  I am beyond excited to be able to call Evergreen my home once again.  Evergreen is a very special place with amazing teachers, staff, students, and families.  The list of things I am looking forward to in this new role is ever growing.  Topping the list is spending time with your child and family to build relationships with those of you that make Benjamin School District 25 such a special place to be.  I am excited to be working alongside the staff who create a safe, warm, and inviting environment for your child to learn, grow, explore, and achieve.  Outside of the school building,  I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, Kuma.  You might also find me reading, singing, or cheering loudly watching my favorite teams play football, baseball, or hockey!

The banner hanging in the vestibule of Evergreen states: “Through These Doors Walk the World’s Greatest Kids!”  Evidence of this statement can be seen daily throughout the school day. The students and families at Evergreen are truly amazing!

I look forward to working with you as partners to support the success of your children.

Go Evergreen Eagles!
