Benjamin School District 25

New Superintendent Announced

The four month superintendent search process has been concluded with Dr. James (Jim) Woell being selected as the Benjamin School District 25 Superintendent at the January 14 school board meeting effective July 1, 2019 to replace retiring Superintendent, Dr. Philip Ehrhardt.  Dr. Woell is currently Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources at Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205.  Previously he served as principal of Attea Middle School in Glenview, and he has been an assistant principal in Arlington Heights, Palatine, and Northbrook.

Board President Vince Engstrom points out that, “Dr. Woell’s experience, skills, and his accomplishments are noteworthy and will enable him to move the district to higher levels of excellence.”  Dr. Woell states that, “I am thrilled to be joining the Benjamin 25 family and the extended community. Working in a District where children come first and there is such a supportive community is incredibly exciting for me. I look forward to becoming a part of Benjamin 25 and getting to know all of the people that make Benjamin 25 such a great place for students to learn and grow academically and personally.”

A reception will be held this spring to welcome Dr. Woell into the Benjamin School District 25 community.
