2007-2008 District Goals
Dr. Phil Ehrhardt presented
this year’s district’s goals to the Board for
discussion and approval.
Dr. Ehrhardt explained that the goals are
based on the review of student achievement data
and other district information.
The goals are focused on furthering
Benjamin’s mission statement, “To provide each
child with the best educational opportunity to
become a lifelong learner, achieve the highest
personal growth and be a contributing member of
society.”
“Implementing these goals will enable the
district to achieve higher levels of
excellence,” Dr. Ehrhardt stated.
A report will be made in
mid-year to provide the progress made to attain
these goals.
This progress report will be communicated
at a Board of Education meeting, in the late
winter district newsletter, and on the
district’s website.
The goals are as follows:
Goal 1:
Focus on the achievement of all students
1a.
Analyze data from sources such as ISAT
and MAP assessments to determine an effective
course of action for improving teaching and
learning
1b.
Map language arts and math curriculum
(other curricular areas to be completed in
following years)
1c.
Provide professional development aligned
to the learning needs of students
1d.
Integrate the use of technology with
learning, teaching and communication
Goal 2:
Increase the communication about the
Benjamin 25 schools
2a.
Emphasize and communicate the schools’
noteworthy educational programs and the
accomplishments of students and staff
Goal 3:
Ensure organizational efficiency and
fiscal stability
3a.
Improve the efficiency of the
organization
3b.
Maintain fiscal stability
