The Benjamin Foundation’s  Annual Fall Fest held at Evergreen School on October 20 was a huge success raising over $4,000 for our schools.  We could not have held this event without our many volunteers and donors.  Thank you to everyone who donated food and drinks, baked goods, game prizes and other items, and thank you to those who volunteered their time to help at the event.  The teachers from both Evergreen and Benjamin as well as our PTA bakers, did such an outstanding job on their baked goods, we were overwhelmed by their support.  A special “thank you” goes to Jack Sweeney who again manned the leaf jumping area by himself.  The children love that activity each year!  I also want to send an extra “thank you” to Mark Trush of Tents for Rent who donated a large tent for our event.  We couldn’t have asked for a better day of weather, the parade was a huge success being led by Dr. Ehrhardt, Mrs. Pfanenstiel and Mr. Salmieri.  The students will benefit by more than fond memories of days like these, the money that is raised will help elevate their learning through enhanced curriculum.  We can’t forget Mr. Tylk and Mr. Baker for leading the “capture the flag” games as well as a spooky “Thriller” dance.

Funds raised at the Fall Fest will be used for our teacher grant program which awards teachers up to $500 to implement innovative and creative educational programs and projects in their classrooms.   Over the past four school years we were able to award over $54,000 in teacher grants that supported various reading and math programs and integrated technology into the curriculum.

Thank you for your support of the Benjamin Foundation!
