Thanks to all of your support, the Foundation was able to award the following grants for use this school year:

 

     *Learning software to help promote reading for comprehension, test taking strategies, language arts and much more.

     *Pullback cars for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

     *Rebecca Caudill books for the library media center.

     *Musical keyboards for composing music.

     *Interactive smart projector to assist reading and language specialist.

     *iPads for music working with apps to create rhythm, note reading, pitch recognition and composition to just name a few

     *iPads for second graders assisting in math and common core strategies.

     *Non-Fiction books for Kindergarten reading library.

    *WittFitt Stability Ball chairs to allow for "active" sitting to help improves attention & concentration, posture, blood flow, coordination, etc...

     *Non-Fiction books for RTI students (special education and response to intervention)

​    *Non-Fiction books for 1st grade to assist in developing literary standards.

The Benjamin School District 25 Foundation for Educational Excellence is an Illinois nonprofit charitable organization founded in 2000 to enhance the quality of education in Benjamin School District 25. Though the Benjamin Foundation works closely with the School Board, it is independent from the school district and is governed by a volunteer board of trustees who are business leaders, parents and community leaders.

Benjamin Foundation Goals

The Benjamin Foundation will foster and strengthen partnerships between the schools and the local business and corporate community.

• Funds will be used to enhance and enrich the educational opportunities for students beyond the normal limits of the School District’s operating budget.

• Funds will be used for materials and equipment that may be needed to assist in integrating technology into school learning, teaching and communication.

• The Benjamin Foundation will encourage educational excellence through creative teaching and faculty development.
