The 2007 School Report
Cards for Benjamin and Evergreen Schools and Benjamin School
District 25 are now available on line
by selecting the appropriate icon. You can also request a printed
copy from our school offices or the administration center. The
School Report Cards are compiled by the Illinois State Board of
Education and contain a variety of information regarding our
schools. This information includes student performance on the
Illinois State Achievement Test and district financial data.
The overall
performance of Benjamin pupils was 92.6 percent while the state
average was 73.8 percent of the students who met or exceeded state
standards. The Report Card also indicates that Benjamin
District 25 schools meet the No Child Left Behind benchmark of
Adequate Yearly Progress. Criteria for Adequate Yearly
Progress include the number of children tested, the scores of the
tested students and attendance of students enrolled in school.
Further, the 2007 Report Card
indicates that the cost to educate a pupil in Benjamin is just $486
above the
state of Illinois average.
Students in grades 3 -
8 took the ISAT reading and math assessments and students in grades
4 and 7 took the ISAT science assessments. Students met or
exceeded state standards at the 90 percent level in reading, math,
and science in all grade levels with the exception of grades 3, 5,
and 7 in reading! Grades 3, 5, and 7 reading results ranged
from 84% to 89% of the students meeting or exceeding state
standards.
Benjamin District
25 students are achieving higher levels of excellence due to the combined efforts of students, parents,
staff, and our community. High performing schools are only
possible because of a united commitment to provide the best possible
education for our students!
